You're protected

The per-km rate rises after 5 km and can follow fuel prices, in-app rides are paid before you're sent, 75% of the no-show fee goes to you, riders who don't pay cash are followed up, and support fixes missing money on the spot.

How commission is settled

You keep the cash a rider hands you. takRide's small commission is drawn from a prepaid credit balance you top up — so cash trips never leave you owing at the roadside.

In-app trips: the rider has already paid, so your 89% lands in your withdrawable balance and your credit isn't touched. In-app payments and cash-outs are coming soon.

The honest answers

A flat 11% of the fare — you keep 89%. It's the same rate whether you're a brand-new Bronze driver or a Platinum one. No surge-based cuts, no rising percentages.

Cash trips: the rider pays you on the spot (all rides are paid in cash for now). In-app trips (coming soon): your 89% goes to your withdrawable balance, which you can cash out to your payout account (EcoCash, OneMoney or a bank account) once cash-outs open (minimum $5; one free cash-out a week, then 2%). A newly changed payout account can be used after 24 hours. Details.

Since you collect cash directly, takRide's 11% is drawn from a small prepaid credit balance you keep topped up. It means you never have to hand cash back to the platform mid-shift. Top up any time in the app.
