Safety at takRide

Safety isn't a feature we bolted on — it's built into every trip, for riders and drivers alike.

Before every trip

Every takRide driver is verified before they can accept a single trip — licence, identity, and vehicle documents are all reviewed. Before your driver arrives, you'll see their name, photo, rating, and the make, colour, and plate number of their vehicle, so you always know who and what to look for.

Always check the driver's name and vehicle plate match what's shown in the app before getting in.

During your trip

Throughout your journey you can track your route live on the map. If anything feels off, you can contact your driver through in-app chat, and you're never required to share your personal phone number.

Tap share on any active trip to send a live tracking link to someone you trust. They'll be able to follow your route in real time until you arrive safely — no app or account needed on their end.

For drivers

Safety runs both ways. Drivers see each rider's rating before accepting, can communicate through in-app chat, and rate riders at the end of every trip. If a trip doesn't go to plan, takRide support is there to help and to review any payment or conduct issues.

In an emergency

If you are ever in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. takRide support can assist with trip-related issues, but emergency services should always be your first call in a crisis.

Reporting a problem

If you experience anything that made you feel unsafe, report it to us so we can act. Email support@tak-ride.com with your trip details, or use in-app support. We take every report seriously and review driver and rider conduct on an ongoing basis.
