From the road distance and estimated time for your ride type, plus a small booking fee, rounded up to a whole dollar. The per-km rate is a bit higher after the first 5 km and can follow the official fuel price. Busy times cost more (×1.2 to ×1.8) and heavy traffic can add up to 40%. Cash (USD) to the driver at the end. Paying in the app with EcoCash, OneMoney, ZimSwitch or card is coming soon; in-app rides will be paid before a driver is found, and if the payment fails, nothing is taken.

Cancelling is free until your driver arrives. After that — or if you don't show — rides paid in the app cost $2 (or half the fare if less, never under $1), but only if GPS shows the driver was really at your pickup. Cash rides have no fee.

When an in-app ride is cancelled, you choose instant ride credit (full amount) or, once available, a refund to your wallet or card within 3 days, less a small processing cost. Completed trips aren't refunded unless our records show you were overcharged or the trip was never driven.

No. takRide never charges waiting time. If a driver waits 10+ minutes at one of your stops, they may end the trip there and you only pay for the part covered.

89% of every fare; takRide's commission is 11% at every tier. Cash-outs of in-app earnings are coming soon (minimum $5, one free cash-out a week, then 2%).

Open Support in the app. The assistant can see your trips and payments, answers in English, Shona or Ndebele, and settles most problems on the spot from trip records. If you disagree with an outcome, email support@tak-ride.com and a person will review it.
