Your fare is fixed the moment you book. Drivers can't counter-offer, ask for more at pickup or refuse because of traffic. A longer destination shows you a new price first; fares never go down after booking.
Help that actually fixes it
The in-app assistant can see your trips and payments, settles overcharges, fees, missing change and lost items on the spot, and answers in English, Shona or Ndebele. Decisions come from GPS and payment records, not whoever shouts loudest.
Verified, and provable
Every driver's ID, licence and car are checked before their first trip, and their selfie is matched to their ID photo. You can require a start PIN on every ride, share your trip live on WhatsApp, and the app checks in if the car stops somewhere unexpected.
No waiting charges, ever
No meter while you're running late, no fees for stops. Cancelling is free until your driver arrives, and every fee that does exist is listed in our terms.
A fair deal for drivers
A flat 11% commission at every tier. Exact earnings shown before accepting. In-app rides are paid before the driver is sent. A share of the no-show fee goes to the driver. Cash-outs are coming soon, plus a live demand map showing where riders are.

takRide adapts to phones with less memory and to slow connections, has a data-saver switch, and never asks you to top up a rider wallet — pay your driver in cash (EcoCash, OneMoney, ZimSwitch and card in the app are coming soon).
