How to book, pay, and get the most out of riding with takRide.

Booking a ride

Open the app, enter your pickup point and destination, and choose your ride type. You'll see the fare before you confirm. Once you book, takRide matches you with the nearest available driver and shows you their details and live location.

Fares & pricing

takRide fares are calculated from the distance and estimated time of your trip and shown upfront, before you confirm. There's no meter running and no surprise total at the end — the price you agree to is the price you pay, unless you change your destination or add stops during the trip.

New to takRide? Your first ride comes with a welcome discount, applied automatically at booking.

Payments

You can pay by cash or digitally. Choose your method when booking:

  • Cash: pay your driver the displayed fare directly at the end of the trip.
  • Digital: settle through the app — no cash needed.

takPoints

You earn takPoints on every completed ride. Once you reach 100 points, you can redeem them for $1 off a future trip. Points can cover up to half of any single fare, so they stretch across many rides.

Your points balance is always visible in your wallet. takPoints apply to digital payments.

Tracking & safety

Before your driver arrives you'll see their name, photo, rating, and vehicle details. During the trip you can:

  • Track your driver live on the map with a real-time ETA
  • Message your driver in-app without sharing your phone number
  • Share a live trip link so family can follow your journey

Scheduled & multi-stop

Schedule ahead: book a ride for a future time — an early flight or a morning meeting — and takRide will line up a driver in time.

Multi-stop: add up to three stops on a single trip to drop a friend or run a quick errand without booking again.

Cancellations

You can cancel from the active trip screen. If a driver is already on the way, please cancel as early as you can. If you were matched but the driver cancels, takRide automatically searches for another driver for you.

Account & app

Manage your profile, saved places, payment method, and takPoints from the account and wallet sections. Changed phones? Log in again with your registered number and your history comes with you.
