Good to know

Yes. takRide calculates your fare from the distance and time of your trip and shows it before you confirm. It's fixed once you book — traffic and the route don't change it, and there's no haggling. Busy times cost more, but that's included in the price you see. If you change to a further destination you'll see the new price and accept it first; fares never go down. No waiting charges, ever.

Yes. Choose cash and pay your driver the fare shown at the end of the trip. If they have no change, they can add it to your ride credit. You can also pay in the app — in-app rides are paid before a driver is found.

Free until your driver arrives. After that (or if you don't show), rides paid in the app cost $2 — or half the fare if less, never under $1 — and only when GPS shows the driver was really at your pickup. Cash rides have no fee. You choose instant ride credit or a refund to your wallet (less a small processing cost).

Refunds are for cancelled rides. Completed trips aren't refunded unless our records show you were overcharged or the trip was never driven. Ask the in-app assistant — it checks your trip and settles it on the spot. Full rules.

You earn takPoints every time you complete a ride paid in the app (5 points a ride — cash rides don't earn points). Once you have 100 points, you can redeem them for $1 off a future trip paid in the app. Points can cover up to half of any single fare.
